Ningbo Wanglong
Group Co.,Ltd., founded in 1992, is
a modernized Group consisting of seven
companies with resources of assets,
technologies, products and management.
The company, as the core of the group,
is located in Yuyao, a beautiful, historic
and cultural city in the east of Zhejiang
Province. The group is involved in chemicals,
food additives, paper, packaging, real
estate and other businesses.
Wanglong
is the only enterprise in the industry
that received the titles of "State-level
high-tech enterprise" and "Well-known
trademark of China" and possessed
"two invention patents" on
sorbic acid and potassium sorbate. It
has become a modernized complex that
has "its own intellectual property
rights" integrating with scientific
research, production and marketing.
It is equipped with registered capital
of RMB 30 million, total assets of RMB
4 billion, cover area of 150,000 square
meters, and 1480 employees, including
more than 120 middle, senior engineers
and technicians. Its dominant products
are sorbic acid and potassium sorbate--the
food preservatives recommended by FAO
and the World Health Organization to
the world.
Adhering
to the development concept of "Develop
and innovate with science and technology",
the company has accomplished the largest
sorbic acid and potassium sorbate manufacturer
in the world covering 40% global market
with its marketing and production capacity
of 25,000 tons potassium sorbate and
35,000 tons sorbic acid, from a pilot
plant with annual output of 300 tons
sorbic acid and 200 tons potassium sorbate
15 years ago. Its success demonstrates
an unprecedented innovation derived
from the ancient Hemudu culture and
a new exploration for Chinese high-tech
enterprises to march on the road to
large-scale industrialization and globalization.
